PRC Released the Results of the August 2016 Psychologists Licensure Examination

September 5, 2016 --- The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 63 out of 120 passed the Psychologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Psychology in Manila last August 2016.

The members of the Board of Psychology who gave the licensure examination are Ms. Miriam P. Cue, Chairman; Ms. Alexa P. Abrenica and Ms. Imelda Virginia G. Villar, Members.
 
The results were released in three (3) working days after the last day of examination.
From September 12 to September 14, 2016, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag) and 2 sets of documentary stamps.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
 
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

MANILA, Philippines – The 'August 2016 Psychologist board exam results', together with the list of passers, top 10 examinees, top performing schools and related announcements will be available at this website soon as PRC officially released the results online few working days after the last day of board examination.
 
The licensure examinations were administered by PRC Board of Psychology headed by its Chairman, Ms. Miriam P. Cue, Chairman and its members, Ms. Alexa P. Abrenica and Ms. Imelda Virginia G. Villar on August 30-31, 2016 at PRC testing centers in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro (CDO), Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi and Lucena.

RELEASE DATE

According to the Commission’s Resolution No. 2015-948 series of 2015 entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2016”, the target release date for the results August 2016 Psychologist board exams will be on September 6, 2016 (Tuesday). However, results may be released earlier or later without prior notice.

On the same exam conducted by PRC on July 2015, results were out after five (5) working days.

REGISTRATION DATE & REQUIREMENTS

Aside from the itemized results posted above, these important registration schedule, requirements and fees shall be secured by a successful examinee.
  • The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will be announced by PRC. 
  • Registration requirements: duly accomplished Oath Form, latest/current CTC or cedula, 1 piece of colored passport ID picture with white background and nametag, 2 sets of doc stamps and 1 short envelope with name and profession written. 
For Manila board passers, PRC is strictly implementing the online registration system for processing of appointment for registration effective March 30, 2016, details of which are written here.
EXAMINATION COVERAGE

The August 2016 Psychologist board exams covered topics from Advanced Theories of Personality (20%), Psychological Counseling and Psychotherapy (25%), Advanced Psychological Assessment (30%) and Advanced Abnormal Psychology (25%).

PREVIOUS EXAMS

During July 2015 Psychologist board exam, 36 out of 76 examinees passed. Due to less number of examinees, there were only three (3) top spots declared.

Sampaguita Adapon from Ateneo de Manila University - Quezon City topped the board exam having 82.30% rating. She was followed by Marie Rose Morales from De La Salle University Manila garnering 81.70% and Anne Marie Topacia having 80.80%.
