PRC Released the Results of the September 2016 Physicians Licensure Examination

September 21, 2016 --- The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 2,899 out of 3,695 passed the Physician Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medicine in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao this September 2016.

The members of the Board of Medicine who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Miguel L. Noche Jr., Chairman; Dr. Edgardo T. Fernando, Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Dr. Eleanor J. Galvez, Dr. Ma. Graciela Garayblas-Gonzaga and Dr. Clarita C. Maaño, Members.
 
The results were released in three (3) working days from the last day of examination.
From September 29 to October 4, 2016, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag) and 2 sets of documentary stamps.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
 
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

The September 2016 Physician licensure examinations were administered by PRC Board of Medicine headed by its Chairman, Dr. Miguel L. Noche Jr. and its members, Dr. Edgardo T. Fernando, Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Dr. Eleanor J. Galvez, Dr. Ma. Graciela Garayblas-Gonzaga and Dr. Clarita C. Maaño on September 10-11 & 17-18, 2016 at PRC testing centers in Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao.


REGISTRATION DATE & REQUIREMENTS

Aside from the itemized results posted above, these important registration schedule, requirements and fees shall be secured by a successful examinee.
  • The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will be announced by PRC. 
  • Registration requirements: duly accomplished Oath Form, latest/current CTC or cedula, 1 piece of colored passport ID picture with white background and nametag, 2 sets of doc stamps and 1 short envelope with name and profession written. 
For Manila board passers, PRC is strictly implementing the online registration system for processing of appointment for registration effective March 30, 2016, details of which are written here.

RELEASE DATE

According to the Commission’s Resolution No. 2015-948 series of 2015 entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2016”, the target release date for the results September 2016 Physician board exam will be on September 22, 2016 (Thursday). However, results may be released earlier or later without prior notice.

On the same exam conducted by PRC on March 2016, results were out after two (2) working days.

EXAMINATION COVERAGE

The September 2016 Physician board exam covered topics from Biochemistry; Anatomy and Histology; Microbiology and Parasitology; Physiology; Legal Medicine, Ethics and Medical Jurisprudence; Pathology; Pharmacology and Therapeutics; Surgery and Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology and Rhinology; Medicine; Obstetrics and Gynecology; Pediatrics and Nutrition and Preventive Medicine and Public Health.
 
PREVIOUS EXAMS


During March 2016 Physician board exam, 483 out of 1, 044 examinees successfully passed. Far Eastern University (FEU) - Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation was the top performing school having 91 out of 113 examinees passed or an overall passing rate of 80.53%.

Al Patrick Cajandab Alajas from Southwestern University - Matias H. Aznar Memorial College of Medicine ranked first in the board exam garnering 88.67% rating. He was followed by Eunice Lovelle Rosaroso Clarito from Our Lady of Fatima University - Valenzuela having 87.83% and Jomari Rieza Binas from Central Philippine University having 87.25%.
