PRC Released the Results of the September 2016 Respiratory Therapists Licensure Examination

September 9, 2016 --- The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 582 out of 818 passed the Respiratory Therapist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Respiratory Therapy in Manila, Baguio, Davao and Zamboanga this September 2016.

The members of the Board of Respiratory Therapy who gave the licensure examination are Julita V. Toledo, Chairman; Senen O. Teope and Jesus M. Espinas, Members.
 
The results were released in one (1) working day after the last day of examination.
Starting September 16, 2016, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag) and 2 sets of documentary stamps.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
 
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

MANILA, Philippines – The 'September 2016 Respiratory Therapist board exam results', together with the list of passers, top 10 examinees, top performing schools and related announcements will be available at this website soon as PRC officially released the results online few working days after the last day of board examination.

The September 2016 Respiratory Therapist licensure examinations were administered by PRC Board of Respiratory Therapy headed by its Chairman, Julita V. Toledo and its members, Senen O. Teope and Jesus M. Espinas on September 7-8, 2016 at PRC testing centers in Manila, Baguio, Davao and Zamboanga.

RELEASE DATE

According to the Commission’s Resolution No. 2015-948 series of 2015 entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2016”, the target release date for the results September 2016 Respiratory Therapist board exams will be on September 12, 2016 (Monday). Though, the target date has been declared as regular non-working holiday in observance of Muslim's Eid'l Adha or Feast of Sacrifice so it is likely that the release of results will be released one day later. However, results may be released earlier or later without prior notice.

On the same exam conducted by PRC on September 2015, results were out after three (3) working days.

REGISTRATION DATE & REQUIREMENTS

Aside from the itemized results posted above, these important registration schedule, requirements and fees shall be secured by a successful examinee.
  • The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will be announced by PRC. 
  • Registration requirements: duly accomplished Oath Form, latest/current CTC or cedula, 1 piece of colored passport ID picture with white background and nametag, 2 sets of doc stamps and 1 short envelope with name and profession written. 
For Manila board passers, PRC is strictly implementing the online registration system for processing of appointment for registration effective March 30, 2016, details of which are written here.

EXAMINATION COVERAGE

The September 2016 Respiratory Therapist covered topics from Diagnostics (25%), Pathophysiology (25%), Respiratory Care (25%) and Neonatal and Pediatric Care (25%).

PREVIOUS EXAMS

During September 2015 Respiratory Therapist board exam, 407 out of 600 examinees successfully passed. San Pedro College - Davao City was the top performing school having 46 out of 47 examinees passed or an overall passing rate of 97.87% followed by Cebu Doctor's University having 30 out of 31 examinees passed or overall passing rate of 96.77%.

Crystal Jay Balabis Seran from San Pedro College-Davao City topped the board exam having 88.25% rating followed by Vince Fernando Badon Punzal from Mary Chiles College garnering 87.75% rating.
