PRC Released the Results of the October 2016 Criminologist Licensure Examination

MANILA, Philippines – The October 2016 Criminology board exam results, together with the list of passers, top 10 examinees, top performing schools and related announcements will be available at this website soon as PRC officially released the results online few working days after the last day of board examination.

As announced, thirty five thousand thirty three (35,033) examinees took the exams.

The October 2016 Criminologist licensure exams were administered by PRC Board of Criminology headed by its Chairman, Hon. Ramil G. Gabao and its members, Hon. George O. Fernandez and Hon. Ruben A. Sta. Teresa on October 28-30, 2016 at PRC testing centers in Manila, Bacolod, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Occidental Mindoro, Pagadian, Palawan, Rosales, Pangasinan, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.


REGISTRATION DATE and REQUIREMENTS

Aside from the itemized results posted above, these important registration schedule, requirements and fees shall be secured by a successful examinee.
  • The schedule of online appointment for issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration will be announced by PRC. 
  • Registration requirements: duly accomplished Oath Form, latest/current CTC or cedula, 2 pieces of colored passport ID picture with white background and name tag, 2 sets of doc stamps and 1 short envelope with name and profession written. 
For Manila board passers, PRC is strictly implementing the online registration system for processing of appointment for registration effective March 30, 2016, details of which are written here.


 RELEASE DATE

According to the Commission’s Resolution No. 2015-948 series of 2015 entitled “Schedule of Licensure Examination for Year 2016”, the target release date for the results October 2016 Criminologist board exam will be on December 8, 2016 (Thursday). However, results may be released earlier or later without prior notice.

On the same exam conducted by PRC on April 2016, results were out after eleven (11) working days.

EXAMINATION COVERAGE

The three-days Criminologist board exam covered topics from Criminal Jurisprudence,  Procedure And Evidence (Criminal Law Book I, Criminal Law Book II; Criminal Procedure , Evidence and Court Testimony); Law Enforcement  Administration(Police Organization and Administration with Police Planning, Industrial Security Administration,  Police Patrol Operations with Police Communication System, Police Intelligence, Police Personnel and Records Management, Comparative Police System); Criminalistics (Personal Identification, Police Photography,
Forensic Ballistics, Questioned Documents Examination, Polygraph -- Lie Detection, Legal Medicine); Crime Detection And Investigation (Fundamentals of Criminal Investigation, Traffic Management and Accident Investigation, Special Crime Investigation, Organized Crime Investigation, Drug Education and Vice Control , Fire Technology and Arson Investigation); Sociology of Crimes And Ethics (Introduction to Criminology and Psychology of Crimes, Philippine Criminal Justice System, Ethics and Values , Juvenile Delinquency , Human Behavior and Crisis Management and Criminological Research and Statistics); Correctional  Administration (Institutional Corrections, Non Institutional Corrections).

PREVIOUS EXAMS

Criminology is one of the programs with huge number of examinees being administered by PRC.

On April 2016, 3,928 out of 16,435 passed the exams. University of the Cordilleras ranked first in the top performing school having 105 out of 107 passed or an equivalent 98.13% overall passing rate followed by Lipa City Colleges with 57 out of 62 examinees passed or 91.94% overall rating.

Meanwhile, Jared John Francisco Adolfo from University of Mindanao - Tagum ranked first in the said exams garnering 88.15% rating. He was followed by Harold Tubongbanua Sarita from De La Salle University - Dasmariñas having 88.00% and Jonathan Apolog Langbayan from Mountain Province State Polytechnic College Bontoc having 87.90% rating.
