PRC Released the Results of the February 2016 Technical Evaluation for the upgrading as Professional Electrical Engineers

JUST IN: February 23, 2016 --- The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 19 passed the Technical Evaluation for the Upgrading as Professional Electrical Engineers given by the Board of Electrical Engineering in Manila this February 2016.

The members of the Board of Electrical Engineering who conducted the Technical Evaluation are Engr. Francis V. Mapile, Officer-In-Charge and Engr. Jaime V. Mendoza, Member.

Starting February 22, 2016, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Suspension of the Certificate of Good Standing Requirement for renewal of the Professional Identification Cards of Real Estate Service Practitioners

JUST IN: Manila, February 22, 2016 --- The Professional Regulation Commission and the Professional Regulatory Board of Real Estate Service denied the Petition for the Renewal of Accreditation of the Philippine Institute of Real Estate Service Practitioners (PhilRES), INC as the Accredited and Integrated Professional Organization with the issuance of Resolution No. 05, Series of 2016, dated January 21, 2016.

The said Resolution provides that PhilRES failed to amend and ratify the contested provisions of its Bylaws specifically on the election rules and chaptering and to comply with its mandate under R.A. No. 9646 (Real Estate Service Act) to register, unite and integrate all licensed and registered real estate practioners. Further, the default on the part of PhilRES to live up to the duties and responsibilities entrusted by the PRC and the Board warranted loss and confidence; thereby, furnishing the latter ample grounds not to give due course to the Petition.

Under the present circumstance where there is no existing AIPO for the real service profession, the Commission hereby suspends the imposition of Certificate of Good Standing requirement for the renewal of the Professional Identification Cards of all real estate service practioners.

PRC Released the Results of the February 2016 Master Plumber Licensure Examination

MANILA, Philippines - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 369 out of 802 passed the Master Plumber Licensure Examination given by the Board for Master Plumbers in Manila and Iloilo this February 2016.

The members of the Board for Master Plumbers who gave the licensure examination are Engr. Valentino M. Mangila, Chairman; Engr. Pedrito D. Camilet, Jr. and Arch. Prospero A. Abellano, Members.

The results were released in two (2) working days after the last day of examination.

Starting February 19, 2016, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. 

Those who will register are required to bring the following: 

• Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
• Current Community Tax Certificate (cedula)
• 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag)
• 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

PRC Released the Results of the February 2016 Physical and Occupational Licensure Examination

JUST IN: February 10, 2016 -- The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 521 out of 912 passed the Physical Therapist Licensure Examination and 55 out of 102 passed the Occupational Therapist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy in the cities of Manila and Cebu this February 2016.

The members of the Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy who gave the licensure examinations are Pollyana G. Escano, Chairman; Raul G. Agustin, Bernadette M. Reyes, Delia R. Pabalan and Rolland Lyle D. Duque, Members.

The results were released in two (2) working days from the last day of examinations.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be on February 17 to 19, 2016. Those who will register are required to bring the following: 

• Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
• Current Community Tax Certificate (cedula)
• 1 piece passport size picture (colored with white background and complete name tag)
• 2 sets of metered documentary stamps
• 1 short brown envelope with name and profession
• to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2016-2019

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

PRC Released the Results of the January 2016 Architect Licensure Examination (ALE)

JUST IN: The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 866 out of 1,556 passed the Architect Licensure Examination (ALE) given by the Board of Architecture headed by its Chairman, Arch. Robert S. Sac with two other members, Arch. Fidel Jose R. Siapno and Arch. Robert M. Mirafuente. The examination was held in Manila, Cebu and Legazpi last January 29 and 31, 2016.

The results were released in five (5) working days after the last day of examination.

Starting February 14, 2016, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. 

Those who will register are required to bring the following:

Board Exam Schedule Changes: Geologists (BLEG) for Calendar Year 2016

JUST IN: Monday, February 1, 2016 --- The Professional Regulation Commission and the Professional Regulatory Board of Geology announce that the Board Licensure Examination for Geologist scheduled on August 11, 12, and 13 of 2016 is moved to FEBRUARY 22, 23, 24 AND NOVEMBER 8, 9, and 10 of 2016.

The postponement of last year’s Board Licensure Examination for Geologist was due to the lack of the required quorum in the Professional Board of Geology and the Commission decided to indefinitely postpone the 2015 schedule of the BLEG until such time that appointments to the Board have been duly made.

Furthermore, due to the shift in the academic calendar of schools offering the Geology course/program, the Board of Geology agreed that the BLEG for calendar year 2016 shall be modified accordingly. The rescheduling of examination and the amendment of Resolution No. 948 was approved for under Section 7 of Republic Act No. 8981, otherwise known as the PRC Modernization Act of 2000, series of 2015.

Deadline for the filing of application for the February 2016 and November 2016 BLEG examination is set on February 02, 2016 and October 19, 2016, respectively.
